Job Type: Full Time

Schedule: Shift work, Wednesday – Sunday from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm

Salary: To be determined based on experience

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Culinary background or interest is an asset

Prior Experience:

• Meat Cutting: 2 plus years (REQUIRED)
• Use of Automatic Meat Slicer and Automatic Wrapper an asset

Qualifications:

• Safely working with knives, hand tools, equipment and utensils
• Comfortably lifting 30-60lbs of weight
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and maintain focus and attention to detail under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment
• Effective communication skills (oral and written)
• Open and eager to learn
• Good customer service skills
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Flexible availability

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and attractively display meat cuts and products that will be in retail meat cases, and preparation for wholesale customers as required
• Cut, debone, grind or prepare meats to customer and Victory Meat Market specifications
• Clean equipment and work areas to maintain health and sanitation standards
• Assist customers with meat-related inquiries and special requests

Working Conditions: Fast-paced environment that requires lifting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, and moving products frequently in and out of meat preparation room, as well as talking with customers regarding meat products or custom cuts.

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping and Sanitation Manager to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custodial services and commercial cleaning, with proven leadership skills to manage a team of staff. This role is vital in ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. The Housekeeping and Sanitation Manager will coordinate daily operations, develop cleaning protocols, and ensure high standards of cleanliness are consistently met.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team to ensure efficient operations.
• Develop and implement cleaning and sanitation schedules, procedures, and standards aligned with company policies.
• Train new staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels and proper maintenance.
• Address guest or staff concerns promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning activities around events or special requirements.
• Enforce safety procedures and promote a culture of cleanliness and safety among team members.

Experience

• At least 2 years prior custodial supervisory experience is mandatory, preferably in a commercial setting.
• At least 2 years demonstrated experience in managing or supervising a team of cleaning and sanitation staff is mandatory.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques, food handling safety standards, and sanitation regulations is essential.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to lead teams and interact professionally with staff and customers.
